Less Stress! More Cookies!

Wow. I'm not very good at writing, am I. I DO feel like I had plenty of excuses over the past few months, Anatomy being the big one. Now that I'm finished with the class, however, I have no excuses to not write at least a few times a month. :)

I had a work meeting in Salt Lake this last week and I was with a close friend and co-worker who shares my love for goodies. We were heading to the freeway when I basically yelled that we had to stop by this cookie place or else I would regret it all month. Heck, all year. This is what made me realize that I hadn't written about one of my favorite cookie places... possibly my most favorite cookie place ever! My beautiful friend Mallory Wright introduced me to this place last summer and my life change thereafter.

This phenomenal bakery is called RubySnap and it is diviiiiiinne! One look at the website and you'll be drooling all day.

There are a few pros and cons about this bakery.
Cons:
-It's only located in downtown Salt Lake, which means a 45 minute drive for me. No bueno!
-You'll want to take everything home with you. Like, everything.
Pros:
-There are tastes for everyone. Chocolate, Lemon, Caramel, Orange Zest, Toffee... and so many other delectable flavors!
-It's worth the money you'll spend. Let's just say it's a good thing it's so far away...

The ambience of this bakery is also fantastic. You feel like you've been thrown back to the 40s with the Rosie the Riveter photo in the center, bright, red walls and simple architecture.

Another favorite part of the bakery is that each cookie is an woman's old-fashioned name: Audrey, Betty, Frida, Lola... just to name a few!

Top Left: Mia (Best sugar cookie EVER)
Bottom Left: Penelope (Peanut Butter dipped in chocolate)
Top Right: Maris (Chocolate with a caramel center)
Bottom Right: Unsure! This was a speciality cookie and I can't remember the name. It was an orange strawberry and it was SO GOOD.

Just look at this place! Adorable.

I tried a few new flavors this time ( I got 6 this time instead of 4...) and wasn't disappointed whatsoever. Lemon with lemon curd and lemonheads baked inside... the Judy, which is an orange dough with orange zest topped with buttery cream cheese frosting... need I say more?!

Next time you're in Salt Lake, Google this place immediately. You won't regret it!
